A picture of Shield Bugs and Stink Bugs
Shield bugs (top and bottom, left) are so called because of the shieldlike extension of the thorax, which covers the abdomen with a shell. The harlequin bug (top, right), a species of stink bug, is a serious pest of cabbage and similar crops. The stink bug (bottom, right) is shown with her newly hatched nymphs. True to their name, most stink bugs emit a foul odor if disturbed. ßíäåêñ.Ìåòðèêà
